I always find it very hard to define myself in these online spaces. Writing about who you are makes it so definitive. Yet I find myself ever changing, ever evolving. The attributes I choose cease to apply after a while and so they are irrelevant. So I choose to introduce myself and Shalabieh’s World as such:
I write to get the thoughts out of my head. I write to express the feelings that overflow. I write to recount the ordinary happenings of my existence. I live in Amman. I work in an office. I enjoy the sun, the moon and the stars. I am a city animal. I grow with every minute. I breathe, I enjoy, I hurt. Just like you. I am!

Thanks for the comment the other day.
And, yes, I’ve been having a look around since I first stumbled across here…you make some very thought-provoking points.
Good to see someone else likes mint too (for some strange reason, every single person I know seems to hate the poor thing).

hey sally,
what a lovely blog? you write well about the every day. i liked your piece about the man going through a dumpster. you brought the whole thing to life and i could visualise the man doing what he was doing and you watching him.
i believe words change things. so thank you for yours!
all the best,
nadyat
